Everyone deserves to stay connected

by Aim Admin | Aug 18, 2022 | Legislators, Media, Members, Partner Content

At Verizon, we believe that everyone should have access to ultra-fast internet regardless of their income level. One of the ways we’re helping people stay connected is via our participation in the Federal Communication Commission’s new Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

The ACP helps connect families and households struggling to afford internet service. It provides up to $30/month discount for internet service and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet purchased through a participating provider.

To be eligible for the ACP Program, the household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or a member of the household currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.

There is a two-step process to enroll: 1) Go to AffordableConnectivity.gov to submit an application or print a mail-in application and 2) Contact the preferred participating provider to select an eligible plan and have the discount applied to the bill.
