Building Commissioner, Town of Cumberland
The Town of Cumberland is seeking a Building Commissioner. The position is responsible for overseeing and managing the town’s inspection and permit review services, ensuring compliance with building codes, health, and safety regulations. Key duties include performing physical inspections of construction projects, interpreting and enforcing building codes, conducting permit reviews, issuing permits and Certificates of Occupancy, and responding to public inquiries about inspection procedures. Office Manager, MVH Street Department, City of Franklin
The City of Franklin, Street Department is accepting applicants for the position of Office Manager. The individual will perform a variety of office responsibilities in support of Department operations. Individual will assist in accurately preparing, tracking and updating Department budget records and maintaining electronic data bases for invoices, claims and other expenditures related to the Department budget that will enable critical analysis of the same. In addition, this position supports the Street Department employees by approving time cards and maintaining records required by DOT in addition to being the eyes and ears of the department and passing critical information to the department staff.
This position serves as the initial contact, answering inquiries and directing the public in the appropriate direction. This position also serves as dispatcher for the Street Department maintaining contact with City personnel and vehicles in the field. There is daily interaction with Department personnel, private sector contractors, their employees, the public and other city workers with the expectation of assisting them in a professional and friendly manner.
Required job skills include proficiency with excel and Microsoft products. Must have previous knowledge of City ordinances, departmental policies and procedures, work methods, state laws and regulations and be able to explain them and support the purpose. Education and experience includes having a high school degree or GED and previous, similar work experience. The Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise (HSWE) in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking a new General Manager to direct the Enterprise. The Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise was created by Ordinance of the City of Hopkinsville in September 2006 to have the exclusive supervision, management and control of the business and affairs of the entire solid waste system on behalf of the City. The Enterprise is governed by a five (5) member Board appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the City Council. A City Council Member is one of the Board members and serves for a one-year term. Other Board Members serve four-year staggered terms. The Enterprise is funded by charges for services and does not receive appropriations from the City. The fiscal management and affairs of the Enterprise are audited annually. The annual audit report is filed with the City. The City is the permittee for the landfill and the Enterprise is the registered operator and agent for the City in its operation and management. The Enterprise has operated profitably and has been a success in providing dependable service, both residential and commercial, at competitive rates since it began operations in 2006.

The Town of Cedar Lake is a vibrant and growing community that 14,215 residents call home. An 800-acre lake is at the center of town. Operating under a Council/Manager form of government, the Town of Cedar Lake values the Chief of Police as a crucial member of the executive management team. The Chief of Police is responsible for the strategic planning, directing, and leading activities and functions of the Town of Cedar Lake Metropolitan Police Department.
The Police Department provides services twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week. There are currently thirty Police Department employees, including twenty-four sworn full-time officers and two unpaid reserve officers. The Chief of Police is a “working Chief.” The Chief of Police is hired by and reports directly to the Town Council. The Department has a current operating budget of approximately $2,690,000.

Water Reclamation Superintendent, Sanitation Water Reclamation Department, City of Michigan City
Michigan City is seeking a Water Reclamation Superintendent to join the Sanitation Water Reclamation Department to be responsible for managing and overseeing all treatment plant staff including operations, laboratory, pretreatment and biosolids handling.
