Aim Youth Councils Network

Across the state, Hoosier students play an integral role in preparing our cities and towns for the future through local youth advisory councils. Aim launched the Aim Youth Councils Network in 2018 to amplify and support that vital mission. The Aim Youth Councils Network is committed to serving emerging leaders, and through the program, we endeavor to increase the number of municipal leaders who run local councils and offer networking opportunities and leadership development for youth.

Aim Youth Legislative Day

Join us for Aim Youth Legislative Day, an event designed to inspire and educate the next generation of civic leaders! The day provides students with a firsthand look at the Indiana General Assembly in action, offering opportunities to tour the Indiana Statehouse, meet state leaders, and participate in discussions on key legislative issues. Attendees will also learn about state government and how the Indiana Legislature works, gaining a deeper understanding of the legislative process and how the laws impact local governments. Whether you’re passionate about government, leadership, or making a difference in your community, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Monthly Youth Councils Network Advisor Meetings

March 11, April 8, May 6, June 10, July 15, August 19, September 23, November 4, December 9

The monthly Youth Council Advisor Meetings provide a valuable opportunity for advisors across Indiana to connect, collaborate, and share best practices for engaging and inspiring young leaders. Hosted via Zoom, these meetings include open discussions, resource updates, and a space to address challenges and questions. Scheduled for select Tuesdays throughout the year at 3:00 p.m., the meetings aim to build a strong network of advisors dedicated to youth empowerment.
