Request for Qualifications: Indiana Comprehensive Plan, City of Jasper

The City of Jasper, Indiana, by and through its Common Council, is seeking a professional consultant to assist with development and update of a City Comprehensive Plan. The candidate will be expected to prepare a new Comprehensive Plan and related supportive documents and materials. The Jasper Plan Commission is accepting Statements of Qualifications from firms related to this planning project, for and on behalf of the Common Council, and will forward the same to the Common Council for consideration. The City anticipates the new Plan will express a progressive vision that promotes thoughtful, managed growth and development, promotes the health, safety and welfare of the community and continues to position Jasper as a regional hub of economic and social activity.

Town Manager, Town of Winona Lake

Winona Lake is accepting applications for Town Manager. Under the direction and authority of the Town Council, the manager is responsible for day-to-day operations. Wastewater Operator, Town of Huntertown

Huntertown is seeking a Wastewater Operator to efficiently run Huntertown’s Wastewater Treatment facility and meet the effluent limitations as set forth in the Town’s NPDES permit with the State of Indiana. Responsibilities may extend to after-work hours, which include nights, weekends, and holidays and directed by the Town.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to being responsible for meeting all requirements of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as other regulatory bodies and state administrative codes pertaining to the safe operations of wastewater utilities; ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, management, and supervision of the Huntertown Wastewater Treatment Plant; being responsible for developing the annual operating budget in conjunction with the Huntertown Clerk-Treasurer and Town Manager, as well as SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and forms required for proper plant operations, and maintain such documents annually; and completing administrative duties including attending meetings, reviewing reports, completing various reports, answering inquiries, participating in budget reviewing, etc., as needed.

Water Reclamation Superintendent, Michigan City

The City of Michigan City is currently seeking applicants for a Water Reclamation Superintendent. This individual is responsible for managing and overseeing all treatment plant staff including operations, laboratory, pretreatment and biosolids handling. The Superintendent reports directly to the Public Works Director/General Manager. Duties include supervision of department staff including training and directing work assignments. Responsible for all WWTP operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal permits, acting as liaison to news media, local government and civil organizations, and representing the district during IDEM or other agency inspections. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, physical sciences, natural resources management or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience. A valid Indiana Class IV Wastewater Treatment Plant operator’s certificate is also required. The successful candidate must possess a valid Indiana Driver’s License and be able to meet all departmental hiring requirements.

Recreation and Program Director, Town of St. John

The Town of St. John, Indiana is currently accepting applications and resumes for the position of Recreation and Program Director. This full-time exempt position will be responsible for management and supervision of all aspects of the Parks and Recreation Department.

Qualified applicants shall possess a bachelor’s degree in recreation, education, or public administration including course work in organization and administration. Applicants shall have at least three (3) years of responsible experience in parks and recreation programs. Professional certification through the National Recreation and Park Association, or any equivalent combination of education and experience, is desired.
