Goodnight took office in 2008 during difficult economic times, both locally and nationally. He made the conscience decision to look inward at the city’s assets to build quality-of-place as a means of economic development. Today Kokomo has a pedestrian-friendly downtown, new urban housing and other amenities that make the city a great place to call home.
