Indy’s Fady Qaddoura Named 2018 Aim Financial Management Award Winner

by Aim Admin | Oct 4, 2018 | Awards, Legislators, Media, Members, Press Release

FRENCH LICK – Indianapolis Controller Fady Qaddoura received the 2018 Financial Management Award from Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (Aim). Qaddoura was honored during the Aim Presidents’ Reception on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the 2018 Aim Ideas Summit in French Lick.

The Financial Management Award is given to a finance officer or administrator who has made outstanding achievements in fiscal management, financial recording and leadership in public service.

Qaddoura, who has served as Controller for the city of Indianapolis since 2016, was nominated by Indy Mayor Joe Hogsett. Mayor Hogsett praised Fady’s ability to work expeditiously to balance the city’s budget, allowing them to plan on more stable footing.  The mayor also cited Fady’s ability to find savings through renegotiating contracts and working cooperation with his fellow department heads.  In addition to his work with the City, Qaddoura has been active with Aim, particularly by sharing his expertise to analyzing potential legislation.

“There are many, many responsibilities required of a public-sector fiscal officer. Some are more visible and obvious than others. Fady is completely dedicated to public service and, through his work on the Aim Legislative Committee, he is a valuable asset to Aim. We applaud Mayor Hogsett for nominating Fady and congratulate Fady on this prestigious financial award,” said Aim CEO Matt Greller.
